The Florence Thomas Art School is excited to bring you an exhibit in celebration of Arbor Day as well as our art program for the 3rd Grade Classes in Ashe County.  The 3rd graders will be presenting their work at the Florence Thomas Art School on Friday, April 28th, 2017 in a “pop-up” exhibition which you don’t want to miss!

What is Flo ArtStart?

The Florence Thomas Art School has an annual education outreach program for the 3rd grade classes in the Ashe County Schools, which includes a visiting artist as well as supplies to be used in the classroom and taken home at the end of the year.  2017’s program featured Author/Illustrator Ellie Kirby who visited each school to give a presentation.  Each 3rd grade child received a bag of art supplies to be used in the classroom and taken home at the end of the year.  The bag included a Strathmore Watercolor Paper Pad, a set of watercolor paints, a watercolor brush, and a sharpie marker.

For more information about Ellie Kirby visit her website.
