Marion Cloaninger

“There is nothing more enjoyable than the creative process. Your mind is in a different place, leaving behind all worries and concept of time. Spirals, circles, abstract designs, textures and figures have always intrigued me. I employ use of bright colors, and elements of collage to bring excitement to a work of art. Exploring mixed media and beautiful colors is comparable to indulging in good dark chocolate.”

Marion has participated in numerous exhibitions, including the Best of the Blue Ridge and Abstract Obsession at Blue Ridge Art Space.  She has taught workshops in marbling, and background painting with collage.  Marion is represented by Carlton Gallery in Foscoe and by GG’s Art, Frames and Gifts in Statesville.  She is a NCMember of the Ashe Co Arts Council in West Jefferson, NCMember of the Watauga Co Arts Council in Boone, and a NCMember of the Wilkes Art Gallery.
