Paint Your Pet with Lisa Drum (805LD)

August 5, 2017

9 am – 4 pm

Level: Beginner

Tuition: $110

Who doesn’t want a portrait of their favorite furry friend?  Absolutely no experience or special talent required!

Whether you are a novice or a more experienced artist, you will come away from this session with a completed 11” x 14” acrylic pet portrait (honest!).

Instructor will sketch a head & shoulder outline of your pet on the canvas and create a color palette just for you and your pet.  You will learn acrylic techniques for fur and eyes, plus receive color mixing guidance.

Pet photos are due no later than on week prior to class.

Tips on Submitting photos:

  • Clear, non-flash photos in natural light are the best.
  • Your portrait will only be as good as the photo you submit.
  • Feel free to submit several photos and we will select the best photo to use.

If you have no experience, head and shoulder shots are the easiest to paint!

Born and raised in Yadkin County, with extreme right brain tendencies, Lisa has devoted her life in the pursuit of visual arts, writing and strategy.  Graduating from UNC-Greensboro with a BFA in Art, she spent her first career developing and implementing one-to-one Database Marketing Strategy and Tactics for a Fortune 100 company. Now, fully immersed as an artist, she continues to explore creative expression through multi-media art and writing, and her new passion and love – pet portraits…
