Elements of Drawing, Design and Composition, Basic Color Theory
Explore ways to paint, draw, smear and collage. Learn fundamentals techniques to paint landscape and color relationships. Create your own technique. Enjoy larger compositions to express one’s creativities and reach one’s potentials.
Young artists will complete a landscape project, abstract drawing and creative story telling project. They will learn composition, design and color relationships.
In the landscape project, one learns to create layers with lines, put in streams, houses, trees and clouds.
Students will outline first with pencil then with markers, put in color with markers, and overlap colors.
in the Abstract drawing project, one learns color relationships with lines and markers.
In the creative story project, one first learns to draw a dragon, unicorn or butterfly. Then these elements can be included in one’s storytelling projects.
Please note: when registering your child for a summer workshop, please choose the grade they will be in during the Fall of 2018, for example, current third graders rising to 4th grade in the fall can be registered in Grades 4 – 7.
