Whispers of Expression
This workshop will integrate art and healing in the context of community. Participants will experience an afternoon of expressive arts exploration! We will create and fill simple books with ecoprints, ‘whispers from nature’. Listening to personal soul whispers will provide inspiration to use materials to embellish a vessel to house special ‘whispers’ created.
Eco printing goes by many names and can be done in many different ways. At its root, eco printing refers to the act of directly applying plants to textiles to alter color, apply color and create interesting designs.
**Those attending the workshop may want to bring magazines, magazine images, photos, etc. for personalizing their box collage. Materials available to use include a cigar box, paint, brushes, papers, colored pencils, pastels, glues and mod podge.
“We listen and breezes from a whole other world begin to whisper.”
“The inspiration you seek is already within you. Be silent and listen.”
This workshop is held each year as a part of the Corey Anne Celebration of Women in the Arts. Read more about this celebration. Corey Anne was an advocate of the Expressive Arts that include these disciplines of art…..visual, movement, music, drama and writing/poetry.
