July Gallery Crawl
On the second Friday of every month, from June-October, Florence along with the other galleries in and around downtown West Jefferson, stay open from 5-8pm while the “arts district” comes alive with folks hopping galleries—it’s a social event!
The Florence Thomas Art School & Gallery will feature three artist for the July Gallery Crawl. Viktoria Majestic is a classically trained, Hungarian-American fine artist currently living in North Carolina. Viktoria teaches workshops at the art school and is showing a collection of recent work ranging from still life to landscape. Paul deMarrais also instructs at the art school and is exhibiting some of his most recent oil landscapes. Paul manufactures his own line of oil sticks that he uses for his work. Milt Sigel is an experienced and innovative artist, designer and teacher, whose work moves between traditional and non-traditional disciplines and medium. The school has several of Milt’s kinetic sculptures on display during the month of July, several of which the viewer can interact with and power.
