Oil and Acrylic Impressionist Painting Methods with Harold Frontz
Workshop Supply List
Oil and Acrylic Impressionist Painting Methods: What you Need to Know
This workshop is ideal for oil and acrylic painters of all levels who are unfamiliar with, or would like to learn more about essential painting concepts. The course will offer a “paint along” option that will focus on the five important principles in creating a painting: drawing, composition, value patterns, color properties, and application of the paint. A portion of the workshop will be devoted to presenting these important techniques and examples designed to illustrate methods for gaining personal competence. By becoming proficient with the craft of art, each person’s artistic preference can then assert itself with the freedom and confidence that comes with technical self-assurance. The workshop features handouts, demonstrations, and individual attention focused on each participant’s unique needs. Harold’s demonstrations will include a rustic cabin, a boat, and a sunset. However, students may choose any subject matter when developing their paintings (landscapes, still life subjects, seascapes, coastal scenes, ships, etc.).
