Open Submission Exhibit
Submission due date: April 21 (just submission form, not actual artworks)
Work receiving date: May 5, 11 am – 4 pm
Exhibit dates: May 8 – June 24
Exhibit Fee: $15 ($10 if you have already paid an exhibitor fee in 2021)
Please note exhibit fee may be paid via check & mailed in advance or exhibitors may pay when they deliver their work if submiting via email.
FLORA is an open submission exhibit. Two dimensional art and sculpture can be submitted. Artworks should feature flora, (flora is all the plant life present in a particular region or time, generally the naturally
occurring native plants), as a primary subject matter. Submissions can include up to 5 artworks. Artworks will be accepted based on available space.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions and safety concerns the reception for this exhibit will follow the state limit on in person gathering and will FTAS will not serve refreshments. If the gallery is forced to be closed to the public due to Covid-19 this exhibit will be held in 2022, with all submissions or comparable submissions included.
Information for Artists on Consignment
Update: FTAS is currently at capacity for 2D consignment art (paintings, prints, photography). Artists are still welcome to apply and will be notified if space becomes available. Other type of consignment art will be considered at this time.

Information for Monthly Exhibition Proposals
For month-long exhibition proposals please fill out the following form with required attachments. This form may be mailed to the school, (PO Box 865, West Jefferson, NC 28694), or information may be emailed to the Gallery Director, Joni Ray, at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Gallery exhibition proposals will be reviewed by the Gallery Committee before being approved for scheduling. Please note that scheduling is done a year in advance when applying.
Exhibitor Fees and Gallery Commision
All monthly exhibitors will pay a fee beginning in 2019 to aid in exhibition expenses which include promotion, (fliers, postcards, online & print media promotion), as well as providing a reception. Gallery commission rate is 35%.
Solo Exhibitor Fee: $50.00
2 – 4 Artist Exhibit Fee: $25.00 per artist
Groups of 5+: $15.00 per artist
Open Submission Gallery Exhibits: $15.00 per artist*
*If an artist submits to more than one gallery show per year they will only need to pay a $10 fee for additional exhibitions after their first exhibition
