729SG:Beading for Beginners (Intergenerational) with Sissy Gamble

$40 Adults
$10 Students (10 – 17years)
All  Materials Provided

This class is for beginners…and those that want a reboot…on making jewelry with beads. There will be a short introduction to the world of beads, including some history of beads, overview of types of beads and what all can be done with them. The majority of the class will be spent making a piece of jewelry by the stringing technique.  If there is time each participant will complete a pair of earrings and/or a bracelet. Hopefully participants will leave the class with  enough knowledge and experience to be able to make pieces on their own. Note: Adult fee $40 Kids $10

Sissy (Elizabeth) Gamble lives in Winston Salem, grew up in Lincoln County but has family roots in Ashe County which go back to the 1770’s.  She is a retired physician.  She first started beading through a class offered by the School of Art at ECU and has continued for the past 20 years.
