812CA: Expressive Arts Workshop Cancelled

Workshop Cancelled

Facilitated by:
Julia Considine and Pat Morrison
Julia and Pat will facilitate the community that gathers to honor the many faces of blessing in our lives.
Julia will share inspiring meditations to support everyone in relaxing into the blessings of the moment. It is in the pause of our busyness that our hearts soften and can be authentically present with the beauty that we are. This presence opens the eyes of our hearts and helps us witness the wonderous movement of blessings in our lives.Pat will lead various creative expressive art activities. During the workshop, participants will be able to fill papers with color, designs, and patterns using various techniques, paints, and marking tools. These papers will be fashioned into special vessels or books with options for binding, for harboring .These vessels will provide homes for words, thoughts, or photos that honor, describe, or celebrate blessings in their lives.
So, treat yourself to a relaxing afternoon of meditation, non-judgmental expressive arts and creative expression. Open to any level of expertise! Come and take time to meditate, relax, move, have fun, play, reflect, and create.
We will provide a variety of supplies and materials. In addition, we will display examples for inspiration. Please dress comfortably and come open to wonder and surprise!
***Participants are invited (but not required) to bring the following items:

-A small token to add to the center altar that represents a special blessing
-An apron
-Interesting papers…. special used or new envelopes….pages from letters, journals, books, childhood papers, photos, etc.
– A small object, bead(s), charm, old jewelry for fun add-ons…..anything can be used for embellishment in your personal creation.
